Instructions
The grave wreath is made of several types of fresh twigs. You can easily get the material for the wreath during the autumn trimming of trees and shrubs.
Material and tools
- basic corpus
- bay cherry
- spilled
- cypress trees
- static
- garden shears
- florist's wire
- pliers
Preparation
We sort the twigs according to species and adjust them to the required size.
Basic corpus
We can easily create the base for the wreath from vines or thin, flexible branches of trees or shrubs according to our instructions. We can also use the purchased corpus in the same way.
Tying the wreath
First, we attach the floristic wire to the body. A few tight turns are all it takes and we can start tying the wreath. We regularly assemble individual twigs and connect them with wire as you can see in our video tutorial. We stack the twigs and wrap them tightly with wire once or twice. We add another one and fasten it again with a wire. We gradually add more and more layers, which we always fasten and bandage carefully. In this way, we proceed around the entire circumference of the wreath until we have it completely covered with twigs.
Arranging a wreath
We can leave the grave wreath as natural, add a ribbon or arrange a glass lantern in its center. That depends on personal taste.
