Upcycling
Upcycling is a way of transforming old, unnecessary things. We create new from the old. There are many things around us that we don't need to throw away. With a little imagination, we can use them for creative creation, give them a new function and the possibility of reuse.
Old jeans
Have you thrown out your old jeans? Don't throw them away. Denim is a quality material that can still be put to great use. If we have discarded jeans, many interesting things can be made from them that we can use for a long time. We can make, for example, simple cloth cups from old jeans. It will serve us to sort various small things. We adjust the size of the bags according to your needs. The bags will be ready in a few minutes and cost us almost nothing, just a little time.

Instructions
Fabric baskets for small items can be made very easily, all you need is three short seams. With a little skill, we will have them sewn in no time.
Material
- old jeans
- scissors
- ruler
- chalk
- sewing machine

Cutting
We will use the ends of the trousers to make bags. It will make sewing easier for us. We cut the trousers to the required length. We will adjust the size according to your needs. We can make cupcakes in different sizes and heights. It depends on how big jeans we have available and how deep the pockets we want to create. When measuring, we must include the width of the base and the bend on the upper edge to the desired height of the cup.
Sewing
When sewing, make sure that the back of the leg is always wider than the front. This deviation must be compensated when folding before stitching. We turn the cut strip inside out and fold it so that the deviations are the same on both sides. Sew the cut end straight. Turn the work across, spread the corners and fold. Sew both corners at a distance of approx. 6 cm from the tip (see video instructions). This will create the base of the cupcake. When sewing, care must be taken to ensure that the seams connect to each other after turning to face. We turn the work over and make sure that the seams connect to each other and sew the triangles. Then we just clean up the work and bend the edge of the basket. We can leave it straight depending on what suits us better.
Use of baskets
These cups are completely universal. We can store almost anything in them, at our discretion. Fabric baskets made from old jeans are perfect for a child's room. We will use them there for a lot of little things that would be lying around everywhere. Children can sort various small toys and clothes into them. For differentiation, we can print simple pictures on children's cups or sew a loop for hanging. There are no limits to imagination. We will use the cups in the home and elsewhere. We can sort socks, small laundry, cosmetics, backpacks or clothespins into them. We can also store potatoes, vegetables or anything else in larger bags, as needed.
